With kind donation from Cognizant Outreach, The We Foundation organized a five day campaign to reach 600 families of daily wage workers and migrants with dry ration and hygiene kits to ensure that the families have enough food on the table for at least 15 days amid Covid crisis. The campaign covered both rural and urban parts of Bengal.
Measures to curb community spread of coronavirus:
The We Foundation’s Rapid Response Team in coordination with the Government conducted active case searches by organizing community-based rapid screening of families in the locations where we distributed relief kits to the families.
The screening was done by Government healthcare workers and suspected cases were linked with the nearest Government health facilities with the help of Local Police, frontline health workers and Block/Municipal Administration.
Therefore, we are not only ensuring food security but also curbing community spread of the disease.
